Katybird Ceramics. The name has some significance. Imagine being called a name from birth - Katie - but for some reason your grandpa decided your name is not spelled Katie…it’s Katy.
And furthermore, your nickname of Katie, short for Kathryn, gets even further morphed into Katybird. You start to wonder, why bird? Birds are loud, was I a noisy kid? Am I a loud adult?
I like to think it was more along the lines of flying. Someone who would continue to soar at whatever the mind was put towards.
